The Artist
Gigi Mori is a self-taught contemporary artist whose work explores people, culture, personality and the moments that stay with us.
Painting began as something deeply personal — a way to experiment, create and turn the things that inspired me into something tangible.
What started as a passion eventually became something much bigger. After years of balancing painting with work and other commitments, I decided to take the leap and make art the centre of my life.
Today, I create work inspired by people, personalities, fashion, music, culture and the things I find visually and emotionally compelling.
I don’t paint simply to recreate an image.
I paint to capture a feeling.
The work
Every painting is different.
I love experimenting with colour, texture and technique, allowing each piece to develop its own personality.
My work moves between bold colour, expressive portraiture and subjects that simply catch my attention. Some paintings are carefully planned, others evolve along the way — but every piece is created with the same curiosity and passion.
There are no rules to what inspires me.
